I understand that the City of Anaheim is no longer issuing new STR permits, so one option is to buy a property that already has an existing STR license.

Hey everyone — hoping to connect with anyone who’s had experience navigating HOA restrictions around leasing or rental caps.I’m working through a situation where the building has a strict rental-occupancy limit (25%) and requires going through a formal waitlist and city permitting process before any lease activity is allowed.

What’s the most overlooked leading indicator for a local market recovery — is it builder permits, rental absorption, DOM, or investor lending volume?

It matures in a few weeks and the work has been lagging due to permits and the bank not making the draws in the amount I needed.  

This house is inside the city limits so we have to pull permits on everything....

The red tape, permits, and costs far out weigh the benefits. 

I am sure new construction within new subdivisions is not permitted to be so narrow.

Ideally would like to sell as 2 condos for maximum profit, but if town won't permit that, am willing to refinance and rent out with anticipated combined monthly rent of $4800. 

Currently they have about 30 or so permits remaining before they reach this cap.
