To determine worth replacing: 1) what is the cost to replace  2) what is the additional cost of unregulated heating and cooling 3) how often per bill cycle does the program occur.

It looks like Charlotte removed all mention of short-term rentals from its ordinances in 2022 and STRs are currently unregulated.

Surprisingly there are still several cities and counties that have minimal to no restrictions on vacation rental usages although there is some discussion about implementing more formal rules in unregulated areas.
