REO's changing brokers frequently

I've noticed that some of the lenders are changing brokers after a few months or withdrawing their listings and signing up with other brokers with lower listing prices. Is this customary? I'm also finding some "internet" brokers advertising listings as if they are their own. They come up as #1 when I search a specific address and I later find it was never their listiing at all. It becomes frustrating.

Put it this way, if someone is listing your home and it hasn't sold in 90-120 days, wouldn't you try someone else?

I found theres two types of REO Agents.

    1) The REO Agents who works for an 'asset management company' (ex: Century 21 REO Management LLC). These are the brokers who get listing, after listing, after listing.

    2) The 1-2-3 REO Agent who gets 1, 2 or 3 listings every once in a while and does not specialize in REOs. They usually do tons of BPOs and eventually get an REO, and eventually realize its not worth it, and move on.
