I am Canadian, but living for last 20 years in Costa Rica where I worked in real estate field and now I am developing my own beachfront luxury 19 units condo project.
I have joined many sites in the past with with very disappointing results (mostly scams & spam). I truly hope this site is different and will introduce me to real investor or possible loan with accessible terms.

You will find that BP is very well managed and spam is absolutely not tolerated. On that note be very careful about posting in the appropriate forums and soliciting deals or offers in the wrong places. There is a place on here for everything, but most of the forums are for information purposes only and should not be advertised on, so just be aware of that.
The moderators do a great job of keeping this place clean and informative. I think you'll find this to be a great resource.

I to am new to BP and been a member of several other real estate networking sites. This is by far the best one that I have found and they do not tolerate spam. I especially enjoy the earnest help and concern that is shown here.

Jaden, they are many deals in Costa Rica. It all depends what you like and your objective. They are many elements that play big role for each individual.
In short - potential is here, but it's not easy and many people lost money. It took me over twenty years to get where I am and I still face unexpected challenges occasionally.
For example: Just to get my building permits that alone took me over six years. On other hand would I go somewhere else? No...
Hi George and welcome aboard. Every time I hear "Costa Rica" my ears perk. I love this country and I toured it twice. My daughter lives in Mal Pais with my son in law and my two beautiful grand children. They bought ocean view land in Santa Teresa in 2001 for $40,000 and sold it in 2006 for $420,000. (They did it with a partner.) They are living the dream. I almost bought land in Dominical (Yes, Canadian subdivision...:) but I never went through with it...
My hope is to retire in Costa... but I still have about 15 years to go...
