Is a website useful for wholesaling?

I just did a quick google search in my area for RE wholesaling and nothing came up. Do most wholesalers have a website? I would think a well put together website would do wonders and yet not a single one popped up using a combination of search terms...Is there a reason for this?

Depends on which side of the process you're talking about. If you are referring to adding buyers then I think maybe not so much. To land quality cash buyers will take good networking. If you're trying to generate leads then I think a site that is a little more tailored to the seller is more appropriate.

If there are no websites for wholesalers in your area I think it might be a good idea to create one. You will be the only local site that pops up on a search. I agree that you should target keywords that sellers might use and list your site as a local business on Google Local. Would not hurt to add an investor page either. Might find others interested in wholesaling that you can work with. Good investors rarely look for business, it just comes to them when their name gets out there.

I'm a wholesaler and I have a website. I have a rehab property in Indiana, which I got, when a seller in Texas contacted me directly from my website. I'm in Virginia.

When you searched RE wholesaling, you didn't get anything. My own website doesn't even say I'm a wholesaler. It just says I'm an investor. My keywords are quick cash house. If you go to Google and search, "quick cash house virginia" or "quick cash for your house virginia or DC, my website and some of my ads will be on page 1.

I set up my site to get motivated seller leads. Most motivated sellers don't know what wholesalers are, so I don't use the term in my website or in my Meta tags.

If you search "we buy houses" or "I buy houses", chances are most of the websites that pop up are for wholesalers.

I am a full time wholesaler and I have a website to feature properties that I have. I have a squeeze page to capture buyer leads. I will be honest, having a website is just a lead source just like bandit signs and direct mail. I know some real successful wholesalers that don't have a website and are moving 5 or more properties a month.

I didn't start out with a website. I got calls to my 24 hour recorded message voice mail system and I got e-mails for more info from my online ads. However, once I created my site, I linked all my ads to it. It's an easy way for motivated sellers or buyers (I do list my properties on it) to get additional info 24/7 without me trying to sell them on anything. I let my site do that.

Do you track all leads and where they came from? I would be interested to know what % comes from the website. I'm trying to be as efficient as possible right now...

In tracking leads to my website, a lot come from here and other forums I participate in, because my website URL is in my signature. I also get a lot of traffic from Craigslist. I have a lot of Internet ads. I also get leads from Craigslist and Backpage that don't go to my website.
