I am looking to start a service business part time while I work full time so I can save more and in result invest more in real estate/ other assets. My work schedule is Monday- Friday 9-530. So only certain types of start-ups will work. Landscaping seems to be out and so does a bunch of others.
The few I can think of include mobile window tinting/ auto detailing or a commercial cleaning business of some kind. I need to start a business and take control. If anyone has an idea of a service market that can be started night hours ( After 530) I would love to know about it.
I financed a commercial property for a young marine who got into power washing/cleaning the hoods & fire protection systems over the cooking stations in restaurants etc.
He had developed a niche market with very little competition & carried the necessary certification to post for the respective health dept., inspectors.
The work had to be done whenever the establishments kitchen were closed so it was usually a lot of early mornings/late nights. He told me he averaged $130/hr & I believe most had to be cleaned twice a year or more often if requested by the health dept.
I also got a friend into the chemical cleaning of beer lines & that also paid very well. The woman who owned the chemical distribution company providing the cleansing fluids was a neighbor so we fell into it when she was looking for someone to take over this type of service her company provided.
