German Investor - Starting in US Real Estate Market?

Hi there,

actually I’m living in Germany. I’m 28 years old and having a lil family. I have a job in chemical industry (manager) and a good salary (90k a year).

I started with buy & hold real estate in 2016. Now I have 12 units (multifamily buildings) in my living-area in germany - 2k€ monthly passive Cashflow + repayment of property loan (and I have high returnrates).

I was thinking about diversification of my portfolio and I’m very interested in US real estate markets (lovin the US – made vacations in Cali sooooo beautiful over there!).

I did rehab, fix & flip or just rented out my properties (lot of experience in different parts of real estate).

My frustration is, that I cannot find any ressources for german investors in the US. What about taxes / legal things? Do I have to create a LLC or Corp to buy & rent real estate as a foreigner? How is the buying process for foreigners? Which Bank gives property loans to foreigners?

Do you know any ressources or can you help me?

Best regards

Scott
