Looking for a realtor that understands what i would be looking for and what my investment intentions are. A realtor that is also an investor is preferred. We are in NJ and looking to invest in single family homes in Sarasota. Rent and hold.
Having a realtor that understands you and your goals when doing long distance real estate investing is crucial to your success. Buy and Hold is a great strategy (#1 in my book) and Sarasota offers great benefits if you buy the right deal. Right now many investors are over paying for properties and putting all of there eggs in the "appreciation basket" in hopes of getting reasonable returns. I believe in having a good mix of cash flow, appreciation, and equity in the deals you purchase to give yourself more exit strategies in this market. When choosing your realtor make sure your goals and needs are understood and what is expected going forward in the relationship. Hope this helps!
