I'm in need of general contractors. I have 3 or 4 that I work with on a regular basis, but need 1 or 2 more that I can give jobs to. I have some houses that have been sitting for a few weeks that I'd like to get started right away instead of waiting on the contractors that I already have. I've run into a good problem of having too many good properties and not enough contractors.
Most of the houses that I flip are in Cook and Will County, Illinois and also do alot in NW Indiana.
Are there any contractors on here that are looking for work or can any investors recommend some good contractors?

I live in Crown Point and my contractor is out of Griffith. He's very busy right now, but I can talk to him. He's honest, does great work and finishes on time. He's not the cheapest guy on the block, but I'm sure you know that you get what you pay for! Let me know where you have jobs and the extent of them. he doesn't like to do gut rehabs, because they take too much time. Btw, he's licensed insured and bonded. I can also tell you who to stay away from. It took me 3 years to get a good contractor. There's a few contractors in this area that talk a good game, but will take you to the cleaners. I am more than willing to do that through a private massage or phone call. Many Chicago contractors have bid for us and even done work that didn't pass code and our standards and we learned.

That are DEF. Not recommended.
The worst #1 I will name from
C P/valpo area is Jeremy Roberts
Rip off king . I D k if he is even out of jail . Think he was in for unemployement fraud. Had a partners (receiving unemployment),who he paid under the table .

If you think that's bad, wait until you see what tenants will do to you. Sorry to sound like a downer. Maybe it's a function of unfriendly judges, police, and prosecutors.

I am just getting back into my GC business, so I don't have all my subs lined up yet. One I am having to take to court (NOT small claims). I will let everybody know who he is and the result of the case once it it over.
