WHY do posts by Account Closed show up on forum, not on threads

     Yeah, keeping a balance between being able to access all the historical data here and preventing dredging up things is not always easy. Usually (not always) an "Account Closed" is someone we have booted for spam or other consistent forum/site violations, but anything they do before then just becomes part of the historical record of the threads.

      I'm just trying to understand why multiple posts came up as new posts by that account, even though no actual new post, or old post, by that account or any other appeared in the entire thread, even though it popped up as "new". What is triggering the "new" status without actually making a new post? Seems broken to me... I can see if someone else signs in, searches and pulls up a random thread the closed account previously posted in it would appear, but if they don't post I would not think the status would change.

    We reset the thread when we close spam accounts, but maybe we're missing a step that puts the topic back. Will open a ticket to check.
