Hey all...been reading, and reading, and reading this website for few months now. What a great source of information. Anyways I think I have found my first possible deal and am looking for a hard money lender in WI for a single-family residence under 100k. Anybody have any connections? Looking to purchase the property, do some minor repairs, and put back on market. House is a foreclosure. Thanks!
Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet and get referrals for hard money lenders.
Welcome to BP. I noticed your thread because Mauston is a town I am very familiar with. My parents are from there and we still have a lot of family in the area.
I haven't used hard money yet in my investing so I can't give you direct advice on that.
Obviously meeting other Wisconsin investors through BP or any REIA groups (I would think at least Madison would have one) would be sources of information. Also real estate attorneys and real estate agents who work with investors might be able to direct you to hard money lenders.
Hey @Ralph R. said, come to the BP meetup this saturday. Scott Lurie does alot of hard money lending in the milwaukee area as well as alot of property management.
