Contract expired March 30

Hello I went under contract for my home with a March 30 closing date. It was a quick investor sale should have been easy. However it’s been anything but easy my buyer is using their own title company. Once I signed the contract I got paperwork from title company to fill out about lender and loan info. I filled out same day and returned than it was crickets. The day before closing I reached out to title company she found a lien I never knew about and had not reached out to my lender. I immediately got to work on the lien and had it released next day. I also contacted my lender and gave title company a new contact. Needless to say we missed the closing date. I have new expenses due to this. Today they got the payoff 10 days from requesting it. I’m being told I just need to sign the extension at closing. My question is I never agreed to extend this. What happens if I don’t sign it?
