Does anyone have insights on how sheriff sales are conducted in Louisiana? I thought that these were in person until recently when I read a news article that Senate Bill 140, which passed in 2023, allows sheriffs in Louisiana to conduct foreclosure auctions online. Will this be anew trend soon? Additionally, how will it impact the sale prices? I am guessing that with the online sales, the prices will definitely increase as there will be a larger participation

It's probably up to the individual parishes. I'm familiar with Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes. While they both list auction prospects on Auction.com, the actual auctions are still in-person.
