Spam Calls Asking Me Sales Prices On Property

Member since 2018 · 1 post · 0 votes

Over the last 8 months I've received multiple calls from people who ask me if I would be interested in selling both my personal and income properties. They refuse to tell me the name of their organization and only say they are in a group of investors. Their refusal to give me more information has me suspicious that it is likely an organization testing the market to attempt to purchase homes. My fear is there are companies like Blackrock who are funding this to further buy up properties so small investors and potential home buyers are squeezed out of the market.

Has anyone else seen this?

99% chance it’s a wholesaling trying to take advantage of elderly or ignorant owners. I was going to say 1% chance it was a realtor trying to drum up business. But they would identify themselves.

I’d suggest the only ring for known contacts setting if you’re not running a business off your phone. They’ll either leave a voicemail or not. If so, block the number, if not, ignore it.

If you insist on answering just say no and hang up. If you insist on answering and talking to them, how about. I’m on the do not call list you can be fined for calling me. Can I get your mailing address for future legal contact.

Black rock is not calling people out of the blue. this is your typical wholesaler who is using PropStream or some other service to look up who owns the property and try to lowball you on a sale. for numbers perspective they're over 100 million single-family homes in United States and corporations on approximately 1 million of those homes. There are 15 million homes sitting vacant today. so those who believe the housing issue is due to corporations has not done any research

I also get those calls. Now, if I don't recognize a phone number, I simply let the call goes to voicemail. You may want to do the same.

Just so everyone is clear, it's Blackstone, not Blackrock.

I get calls all the time. I tell them the same thing, make me an offer and no, I don't tell him what price I would take. Or alternatively tell them a ridiculously high price and then hang up.

At the right price I would sell my entire portfolio of properties.
