Does anybody know how I might be able to access the
Lis pendens in the public records in Brooklyn N.Y. ?
Google "county recorder" and the name of the county you want to search. Many have their records online. Some are free, some have charges. Many charge if you want a lot of data in machine readable format.
Also try "county assessor". Many counties have separate systems for the tax assessor.
All these systems have a learning curve. I've not ran into one that is really intuitive. So, don't expect to just jump in and make sense of how to do a search or the data you get back. Expect to spend some time scratching your head to figure them out. And I've never found two counties that have the same system.
Thanks for your reply.
I tried looking the first place you sent me and it's hard for me to find it i'm a beginner. can you help me? i would appreciated. i'm in Kings county NY.
Thanks in advance
OK. Googling "kings county ny county recorder" turns up several hits. Many are for data providers that provide you these links. We have one here, too:
Further down on the hits from the google search is one that goes directly to the recorder:
There's a link on that page to get access to the actual records.
For information of this nature, you are going to need the records of the office that records deeds and other information (sometimes the Clerk and Recorder, sometimes the Recorder of Deeds, etc.) or the records of the Court (for a Lis Pendens). This is typically a different office than the Assessor.
