I'm wanting to upgrade my moms house in Ventura and then sell it. Need to now which upgrades are worthwhile to bring the value of the house up. Also make it sellable.
Then looking to take the cash leftover after paying off existing loan, to make a down payment on another house or two. I'm a first time buyer with some holes in my credentials, I.e. Credit and income.
I would love some feedback. Also some one on one consulting in the Ventura area to sell the house. Then help on purchasing new home/s.

Contact a real estate agent to help you make the decisions. They know what they can sell. Last week I talked to an agent re possibly selling an Oxnard home. She recommended the very basic stuff for our 1980's house. Namely, paint, scrape ceiling, change faucets and bath mirrors and flooring. She thought with just these fixes we could ask top dollar and get it.
