May I install a mobile home in a SFH lot and sell regularly?

May I install a mobile home in a SFH lot and sell regularly?

I have a lead with 6 lots near interstate highway. It is zoned as single family house, located a demanding area with good school district. I am thinking how to use these vacant lots. The neighborhood house with excellent or very good condition was sold with price 110-150K, with average DOM 2 months. Rent is about $1000-$1200/month. I wonder whether it is possible for me to buy a mobile home with cheap price, install that and sell it as a regular house ($110-$150K). Anyone here have such experience? Is it possible to do that?

Since the six lots are near interstate highway, another idea is for outdoor advertising. Anyone here has such experience?

Thank you for your advice.

    @Grace Sunshine,

    Mobile homes are personal property, not real property. You're not going to get stick-built home prices for them.

    Zoning may also prevent them being placed on lots not zoned for them.

    Check with your local officials regard what can and cannot be placed on a lot in your area.

    You might also want to explore modular homes: houses stick-built in a factory and shipped to the homesite in pieces ("modules") on flat bed trucks.

    @david dachera Thank you for the useful information. Do you think I can buy modular home, install it, and sell the house as a regular house? Thank you.
