@Vijay & Lexi

Welcome to the wonderful world of Self Storage.  You can get a lot of good & free information via BP, and searching the internet - Inside Self Storage, Self Storage Association, & so forth.  I also have quite a few you tube videos myself if you don't mind a shameless plug.

Regarding a good management team - which I believe most folks (especially if you're new) should have - would be to look up Tron Jordheim with Store Here.  We have quite a few facilities being managed by them and Tron has decades worth of knowledge, experience, & contacts in this industry.

Best of luck to you all!

    Hey @Vijay Jain! I'm a newbie at self storage too, but a good friend of mine is a bona fide prodigy at it.

    I'm sure you'll get some great guidance here, but if you want additional input, connect with me here on BP and I'll gladly make an introduction!

    For the record, I receive absolutely NO compensation for making the referral!

    Good luck to you @Vijay Jain!  We are selling a couple of rental properties now and are thinking about building a small facility ourselves next year!

    Thanks all for wonderful community here, @Scott Meyers   thanks for your suggestion, I know you are authority when it comes to Self Storage. Thanks @Mitch Messer for offering help.

    I am thinking of starting from scratch meaning getting land and maybe do construction, not sure it is too ambitious for newbie but I think I can do it if I can get some direction on what to do and more important what NOT TO DO.
