I have been up, and I have crashed and burned (2008). I have also watched homevestors very closely for many years, since 1998 in fact. I made the decision last year to purchase a franchise, and ‘opened my doors’ October 1st. To say I am happy is an understatement. You get so much more than even I ever realized, from support and training to easier access to financing and a ‘family’ of other fellow franchisees that all love to help each other. Yes, you can invest in real estate without homevestors and be successful, thousands do. But for me, it was the right choice by far.

Agreed with my 2 colleagues above. I came down from Canada to start my HomeVestors franchise in Orlando in August and it's been everything I expected. Like Jeffrey mentioned, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck!
Hi Stephen, just posting my experience. I’ve had much the same experience as the previous posters. Real estate investing can be a tough business. There’s much to learn and it can be a lonely business. I purchased my HomeVestors franchise in Raleigh 4.5 years ago and it’s been a great experience. Tough? Yes! Just like any new business startup, it requires commitment and hard work but I personally could not have done it without HomeVestors. I’ve bought 80ish houses in that time period and I feel I have a real, duplicatable business system that will sustain for the longer term. HomeVestors gave me the training, systems and community to go the distance. I wish you well in your journey.
Ditto from me - 13 years into HomeVestors and also could not have gotten to where I am in this time frame without having been part of the HVA system. Being part of this system has literally allowed me to build a rental portfolio with almost none of my own cash, because they lend to us at 100% as long as we meet their rental numbers, which I always do. BRRR, again, and again, and again. We flip and wholesale too, but building a rental portfolio has been our biggest benefit. We love being part of Team HVA!
@Stephen Leskovec I've been with HomeVestors since 2012. I had no knowledge or experience in REI prior to joining. The agreement is for a 5 year term. In 2017, I had to decide whether to renew. It was a no-brainer for me. I signed the new agreement as soon as it came out. Good luck in your endeavors. Where are you located?
