Best way to find Duplex’s, Triplex’s, and more?

When searching for multi family properties on all of these listing services, I’ll get just that, a multifamily property. Not a duplex or alike. I also don’t get many results when I look up “duplex’s“ for sale. Any ideas on the best place to look? My agent just sends me duplexes but usually their only one side!

Hey @Jake Davis!  Within most MLS systems there is a way to specify "duplex only" or "triplex only", so it may be as simple and telling your agent that you aren't interested in any half-duplexes (please exclude those) and you'd really like to only see Du- and Tri-plexes.

Otherwise, if this is an extremely "crunched" area in your local market you may try looking through some more creative lenses, like "homes with 2 kitchens" or homes with a casita/Mother-in-law/ADU.  I often will have luck using the general search area on sites like Redfin, like this . . .
