Hi Bigger Pockets, 🖐️ New here.

Looking to make debut into the game through multi-family to start. I'm in the Pittsburgh area, focusing on small multi units in "B" areas to start and then building from there. Would like to utilize a FHB.

Strengths: Visionary, diligent, coachable, scrappy, deal closer.

Weaknesses: Rookie, underwriting / running numbers, work full time (from home).

let me buy you a coffee and talk shop?

Hey Zac, sent you a DM. Always down for a coffee and to talk real estate.

On the mentor thing I think you'll find that will come more organically as you get rolling. Could be an agent you work with, someone you partner with on a deal, a contractor who can give you advice on projects, or just someone you met and clicked with at a local meetup or here on BP.

Welcome to BP. Will send you a DM and happy to connect.
What do you do for work? Perhaps these some things you could help with to get some experience if you're interested.

Welcome Zac! Do you have any interest in attending local RE meetups?

You will soon see why talking about mentors in an open forum is a bad idea. Some may have the best intentions, but not all (with no reference to who has posted above, they all could be solid). Mentors aren't found in open forums like this, they are found at meetups and over long amounts of time. Go to meetups once a month at a minimum. Once you've been to 6-10 meetups and you only focus on building relationships without asking for a mentor, you will have plenty of options, especially if you are willing put your skills out there to help them.
