I'm in the early stages of trying to understand this myself. My wife and I invest in real estate on the side and we have a small, 5-unit rental portfolio. I'm trying to think of ways to creatively finance growing our portfolio more rapidly. Have you found any resources or heard from anyone on this topic? I'm very intrigued as this seems like a way to bypass the traditional mortgage loan process, as well as raise money through investors big and small.
