Hello Everyone!
For folks who have purchased a Pro or Business membership here on BiggerPockets, was it worth the membership fees?
I almost thought it could be seen as too salesmen-like for one to have the Pro badge, but I'm curious to hear if other people's businesses grew as a result of having a premium membership on BiggerPockets.
I don't think having a pro account will necessarily "grow" your business.
Most pro members who have "grown" their business have probably been in the RE industry for awhile, likely involved in their community, go to conferences and overall networking. Then your results will start speaking for themselves. I think that is the validation for growing your business - not a pro badge.
Looks like the pro membership costs $400/year - actually seems a little steep to me for what you get. Calculators? Experienced investors aren't using some calculator off a website (I would highly doubt it anyway). They may have some decent market analysis - I just don't personally trust their software. I'd rather use the MLS/comps - and real estate is so micro market anyway.
I'd personally spend the $ on marketing to grow my business before a pro account. I just don't see the value personally (meaning my unique situation). I'm not a pro member though, so I'm open to having my mind changed by those who are pro members
