Is there a difference between commercial and residential RE when it comes to property taxes? Do they have the same rates? Are there any differences between small or large multi?

Yes, as Adad noted, they do vary by area and are usually very easy to look up. There will be companies that try to change for that info when you google, so make sure to go to the official website for the county or municipality depending on what state you are searching.
