I am looking for a CPA to help me and my business partner with Taxes as we currently have a rental out of state and live in California. Eventually it will be in an LLC.
You mention having a business partner, if there is an entity involved, there may be a requirement to file a business tax return.
Most business tax returns are due March 15 with an opportunity to extend the tax filing.
I also saw your profile that you have a property in Ohio. Congrats on the purchase! Something to be mindful of is that Ohio requires multiple tax returns to be filed - One at the state level and another depending on the city where the property is located.
You came to the right place. While we are not able to directly promote ourselves here on the forums, there are several knowledgeable tax professionals in this community. I would recommend reaching out to some you see providing good information on the forums and see if they can help satisfy what you're looking for.
I have referrals throughout the state - feel free to send me a PM if interested.

I recommend finding an accountant who specializes in business taxation, real estate taxation and tax planning.
You may want to consider working with your accountant remotely to expand your options.
I would also recommend looking for a accountant willing to work with you throughout the year. You want an accountant who can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the consequences of the financial decisions you are making throughout the year.
