I need to speak with an attorney who has experience regarding contractors who disappear and refuse to communicate after overcharging and before finishing work. Thanks in advance for any referrals!

Hi @Jorge P.. I just noticed your response. Yes, please share suggestions. It has not been resolved, but now it appears there can't be any resolution for another 4 years or so. The contractor was put in jail a little over a year ago for another issue. I had filed a police report for the unauthorized charges he made to my credit card, and eventually it made its way to the district attorney, who started preparing a case against him, but it will be on hold until he is released from prison, which is schedule for about 4 years from now.
