Recommendations Highly Knowledgeable Real Estate CPA And Bookkeeper

Looking for recommendations for a CPA and bookkeeper for real estate business and other businesses. I'd like someone who knows how to maximize tax deductions from real estate, someone who is very proactive and can engage in tax planning and strategies and not just prepare returns. Thanks!

    Hey @Brian Willie! I'm not able to help with the tax planning/strategy side, but I am a bookkeeping professional for real estate investors and am happy to see how I may be able to help. If you're tax pro doesn't provide bookkeeping themselves, you're definitely going to need to make sure your books are accurate so that your tax advisor has accurate data to analyze.     @Brian Willie Typically a CPA will charge separately for Tax Preparation and Tax Advisory. Depending on the size of your business, I would not go cheap on the Advisory. If you have a great bookkeeper who understands real estate, the tax prep becomes 100X easier (because there is no mess to clean up) and the advisory becomes worth the money because you have good books for them to look at.     @Brian Willie The location of your CPA isn't as crucial as their experience with real estate. Many CPAs on this forum have clients and properties across the U.S.

    I own a cloud-based bookkeeping firm that specializes in serving real estate investors all over the U.S.. We're real estate investor owned, veteran owned, and 100% remote. All Team Members are U.S.-based, Bookkeeper Launch certified, QBO ProAdvisor certified (also, experienced with common REI PM/Project Management software (Appfolio, Buildium, DoorLoop, BuilderTrend, etc etc)), and we prioritize communication with our Clients.

    We don't currently provide any tax services but we have relationships with some great CPA teams for the tax strategy/tax filing portion of your equation if you don't currently have those positions filled.

    If you have any other specific questions, I'm here to help just like everyone else who has commented in this thread. There are a lot of great bookkeepers and accountants in this community!
