Looks for additional investment for homes in Ghana and Bolivia. I host visitors in guest houses in both countries.
Hi Connie, that’s awesome that you already have guest houses operating in both markets, that’s a great foundation. If you’re looking for additional investment, a lot of investors in that situation focus on either bringing in equity partners for expansion, refinancing existing properties to pull out capital, or structuring joint ventures where someone funds the next property while you handle the operations since you already have boots on the ground and a proven hosting setup. Another thing that can help attract investors is showing clear occupancy numbers, average nightly rates, and annual returns from the properties you already run, since people like seeing real performance before they commit capital. On the U.S. side, one market a lot of investors are looking at right now is Columbus, Ohio because the macroeconomics are really strong with population growth, job growth, and huge companies expanding here like Intel, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Honda, LG, Nationwide, and Ohio State University driving demand. Even with all that growth, you can still find properties around the $120k–180k range that hit the 1% rule and produce positive cash flow, which is why many out of state investors are targeting the area for long term rentals with strong appreciation potential as well. Happy to connect and answer any questions you have!
Thanks Jimmy! I’m currently looking for a property in that range in Columbus- have had several there in the past and have another business based there. I’ll be in touch directly!
