Best Property Mangers in SE Wisconsin

Fairly new investor here. We bought our first two single family homes last year and are looking to buy our first duplex this year. Anyone out there have experience with property managers in SE WI that they can recommend from personal experience. We just had to fire ours and are making a switch to a new company. Always good to know who others are using.

    If your properties are located in the city of Milwaukee, then I recommend Welcome Home MKE.  If it's in Waukesha County...I can only think of the person, but I can't think of the company.  Christine Skokell-Gregory...It's been a while since I've seen her personally.  In Racine or Kenosha Counties, I could certainly assist you. I've been a PM there for 16 years.  I also rentals in a different part of the state, which isn't always the case with PMs.

    Hello, I do a little bit of property management. Usually just for clients of my Realtor business. But I am strict about where they are, mainly because I want to live close enough that I can be attentive since I am a solo manager. If interested, I would be happy to talk and see if we would be a good fit to work together. But even if we are not, I know several other options I could point you to that I offer to my clients when I am not the right property manager for them. 

    Also, if you are a new investor in the Milwaukee area, I recommend you check out our local investor meetup.     Who I would recommend is based on where your properties are. Some companies are not best fit to handle certain areas... meanwhile excel in others.

    Frankly none of them are great, we decided that a few years ago when I went fulltime real estate to manage our portfolio VS hire out. However there are a few out there who do the best they can and often the stability of your portfolio will be a determining factor in their initial success - I've also seen people get upset with PM when really they did not give the company enough time to stabilize everything and it usually comes down to money; People tend to think rental properties are a get-rich-quick operation but long term rentals require patience and will eventually pay off.

    If you are looking for investor friendly Realtors for your next purchase I'd be glad to discuss how our team can help, I ran a PM company for 3 years before shifting to focus on buy/sell properties. The majority of my clients are out of state investors - I treat others the way I would want to be treated and advise clients as if I were considering the sale/purchase of my own portfolio.

    My husband and I own rentals in the City of Milwaukee and some of the nearby suburbs. We have used Citywide for over a decade--we also have grown a very good relationship with them. Even though I run Wisconsin Contractor & Handyman Club on Facebook, I have yet to find a contractor that can beat their prices as far as maintenance and repairs and getting the property ready to rent. I would also give Welcome Home Milwaukee a shout out but they do not manage in some areas.
