How beneficial would it be to Install Solar Panels on a Rental property w/Adu that are both on the same utilities ?

If you're just looking for a ROI, then this is not it. Take the complete install cost and divide by savings per month, see how many months/years it will take to recoup your costs....

I've only found one person on BP that claims to make money with solar. He spun a good tale and provided actual numbers, but I think he was exaggerating them or he's in a rare situation.

Solar typically won't pan out, it only gets as far as it does on the back of tax payers, it props up the Chinese Communists, it's bad for the environment, and it takes advantage of the impoverished.

Other than that, it's a pretty good idea.

I wouldn't do solar panels if your goal is to make money / reduce costs.

The only reason I can see someone doing it is if they believe solar panels are beneficial to the planet and that is important to them.

Talk to your CPA to see if you are eligible for any federal / state tax credits for installing solar panels.
