Fall is here , and so are the Yellowjackets

Got a call Friday , the tenant was finding yellowjackets in the house . I asked about open doors or windows , they later sent me a picture of bees swarming under the soffit . I go over with some foaming spray bee killer . Came back on Saturday and the spray barely had an effect . So I broke out the shop vac with some extentions ( 1 story about 10 ft up) . Put 1 inch soapy water in the bottom , left filter in and spent 2 hours sucking up bees . Came back that evening just before dusk and did it again .  Sunday morning had some here and there , but this gave me the opportunity to cover up and spray the foam killer right in the hole .  Then I went out fishing for rockfish ( striped bass )  and we got 3 keepers .   Called the tenant this evening and they said there are still some but not bad .   Next week I will have to go back and check and seal the hole .

This is why I use a property manager, but this is why real estate is awesome becaues different people have different ways to manage their properties and one is not right and one is not wrong.

For me one of the things I love about real estate is the stories you can tell to people as some of them are extremely entertaining (and some very sad)
