I've been pleased overall with NTN.  Learned that there is a gap in their reporting that can be filled though.  I do a pre screen on my local court activity that they were not picking up.  We have a website in Indiana that lists recent case activity. Found that applicants of current eviction activity was not covered by NTN.

I charge $45 per adult and have been using NTN for several years.

That combined with the good advice in Mike Butlers "Landlording on Autopilot" has saved a ton of headaches.

One thing I try to do with each applicant is go to their current home and pick up the application.  This gives you an idea of what your place will look like in six months.

Just ask yourself this question when you're there - "If they offered to make you a bologna sandwich, would you eat it?"  If yes, then they pass the final test!

We have been using NTN for many years and are pleased with their services.  We do charge $50/applicant over 18 which tends to weed out some of the riff raff.

I use NTN as well as do my own county records check, Facebook checks, etc.

This is so true! Everyone is afraid that if they charge the applicant the fee, that they will miss out on a potential tenant- which is not necessarily the case. If you have someone who doesn't want to pay an application fee, they probably aren't the best fit tenants. As a landlord, you don't have to be the one to pay the screening costs!

I do not have any info on NTN but I use MySmartMove, which is a "sponsor" of BP.  A link to their site can be found in the Tenant Screening Section under Tools.
