Would you allow unsupervised showings from a lockbox?

Hey guys!
I am looking for a property management (PM) out of state, and I came across this PM that ALLOWS unsupervised showings from a lockbox... I was advised they require the prospective renters to take a pic of their ID and send it to them, and PM in return sends them lockbox number.
What's you opinion on this?
Thank you,
Edita

I wouldn't allow it. Even if they're all honest upstanding citizens, what's to say they remember to lock every door?

To me it just sounds like a lazy PM and if they're that lazy about showings how is everything else going to go?
