Tenant not paying rent - how to get rent from govt?

I live in California.

Tenant has stopped paying and the memorantum is on for long time.

I know many landlord are actually not been hurt much in this pandemic because govt is supporting and pay.

How do I get into that program and get paid from none paying tenant?

my tenant started the application. I also had to sign up and upload a statement with outstanding balance. I submitted a statement with money owed through the end of lease and it was approved. Still waiting for payment though.

You might want to check into that. From what I thought, those funds are gone. You might want to look into eviction. Have you reached out to an eviction lawyer?

@Johnson Best Update your post to indicate what county and city your rent is in. At least in Ohio, aid is distributed at the county level so if you add your county maybe someone in the same county will see your post and be able to chime in with local info.

Is this getting from federal grant or from state?
