This month’s meetup will be next Weds. 31st at 7pm at Independence Title 1300 Glade Road Colleyville, TX 76034 and they will cater food and drinks. The speaker will be a real estate attorney from Randall Camacho. If you have any topics or specific questions you would like to learn about please send them to me so I can send them over to be included in the information. Because they are providing food I will need everyone that plans on attending to please RSVP.

    So far we have about 20 attending.  I know we have never had to RSVP before but if you could please either mark that you are attending on this post or send me a message I would greatly appreciate it.  Since we are proving food we need to have a good idea how many are coming.  It's going to be a great meeting with a lot of good information.  FREE education and FREE food, can't beat that!  See you Weds!

    Hi Sherry,

    I'll be attending as well, and thank you for organizing this.  Some initial questions on my mind:

    1. Liability protection: I'm considering forming a series LLC registered in Texas, with each property being structured as an independent series within that LLC. What specific language should I include in the formation documents to ensure treatment as a series LLC?
    2. Assignment of purchase rights: Assuming I have a real estate investment LLC, during what step of the buying process would the LLC come into play? Would I make the initial offer under my own name, include an assignment provision, then assign my purchase rights to the LLC right before closing?
