Hello all,
After a long hiatus, I've restarted our Northern Virginia Investor Networking! Our meetups used to take place at Wegmans, but these new ones will be taking place on a monthly basis.
Our meetup is meant to provide 1) an opportunity for visitors to come network with other like minded real estate investors and 2) an educational moment for visitors to learn about a topic that is relevant to being a real estate investor. Each meeting will be broken down into:
9:00 AM - 9:15 AM - Open networking
9:15 AM - 9:25 AM - Brief introductions
9:25 AM - 9:45 AM - Educational moment
9:45 AM - 9:50 AM - Market update
9:50 AM - 10:00 AM - Have/wants
Our first topic is going to be about LLC and Corporation formation, the advantages of doing so and going about it.
Our topics for the rest of the year will be:
- Financing a flip.
- Identifying investment properties
- Explaining the real estate transaction process
- 1031 exchanges
- Considerations for investors that are different from normal real estate transactions
- Estimating expenses on a flip
Each topic will be presented by somebody who works in an area specific to the topic. If you think there's a topic you'd like to seen discuss or would like to discuss, please send me a message and let me know.
