We all need to get started somewhere and starting small is a great strategy. You get to learn along the way, with a few bumps and bruises, but not put yourself, or others, into the path of too much risk.
Once you have some experience staying small can be detrimental to your long term goals and you as an investor. This doesn't mean that everyone needs to have the desire to go big! What it means is that if you do, staying in the same spot too long can cause you to lose interest and consequently lose money.
