Hi Everyone,
For a long time I've been thinking about switching my banking business (personal and business checking/savings, etc.) to a local bank to help support the local community instead of filling the pockets of these large banks.
Does anyone here have experience with any of the local community bank or credit union that provides good service? I live in West New York, but am open to anything remotely close to the area.
Give Visions Federal Credit Union a look. I just opened an account there a couple days ago to apply for a home equity line of credit. They have some of the best rates I've come across. They are also known for their great customer service. I think the closest branch from West NY is in Englewood Cliffs which isn't too far.
@Justin McElroy I don't bank with them, but they were very eager to lend me money on a purchase in Mount Vernon, NY. PCSB Bank. I believe they have branches in Rockland County, which may be a bit too far for you, but I'll leave that decision up to you.
