Has anyone applied for funds through the Rental Assistance Program in Mississippi? Do you know if any of the funds have been disbursed at this point, or what the time line might be.
I applied 6 weeks ago and haven’t received any funds. The online portal is suppose to help you track the status of your application, but mines still say application submitted after 6 weeks. I tried calling the toll free number and speaking to someone directly. They’re not disclosing any information. Just telling you to use the portal to monitor your application.
I applied for a tenant my app is now saying application pending approval is that a good sign
Yes! By tomorrow the application should say “Application in QC review”. My QC review took two days before the status was changed to “Application Approved”.

It’s two separate amounts but mine were sent at the same time
Mine still wyd batched my my landlord said they payments are processing
i just got an email stating that I was approved and they paying all the way threw March maybe my land lord will get off my back I just sent him the email it didn't say when they were mailing the check but at least I know they going to pay boy what a big relief
@Arica Rogers Hey I heard there's a Chase bank located in the metro area. Its going to be hard trying to cash any check over 5k probably. You might have to open a bank account and let it sit
Not yet it says processed and it use to say application paid now it says batched and I did my recertification in September and haven't heard anything about that.
To be honest. With this situation. Its a patience situation. You call them the info sometimes be accurate and sometimes it dont b accurate. But i will say this if you waiting on them to pay rent for the month dont do that you doing better going ahead and pay rent. Unless you and your landlord have agreement. Because they basically move by the system time. You might not receive no funds til end of month n rent due beginning of month. Its a good program but u have to wait… be patient.. it is free money but it can be a little frustrating!
so for the ones who are saying they received the checks for rent in the mail… how did y’all opt in to do that? I thought they go directly to the landlord?
Hi, has anyone or anyones landlord received direct deposit on all payments and then received check? Or has anyone only received direct deposit or only received checks? Do they change it up after doing only direct deposit bc my landlord recently moved into his home he was building and he has received only direct deposit from 2 tenants so far and has his old address listed on his account and my payment changed to batched earlier this week and says processed beside the payments and his shows paid and he still hasn’t received the payment. We are beginning to worry it was mailed out to the wrong address. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
@Daniella Taylor My LL is not participating. Im supposed to be getting paid directly by check. Hopefully your LL receives the money soon. Thats the verification process.
