Has anyone applied for funds through the Rental Assistance Program in Mississippi? Do you know if any of the funds have been disbursed at this point, or what the time line might be.

Yes! By tomorrow the application should say “Application in QC review”. My QC review took two days before the status was changed to “Application Approved”.

I applied on 12/28
On 2/4 was asked for income verification and ID for my 7yo daughter? I explained she a 1st grader and offered to upload her birth certificate. They replied she was listed on the application as over 18 and make a note and to disregard the request. I asked if anything else was required and a hours later they asked for income verification, ID and a hardship form (all of which I have already uploaded for myself) so I redid them all for myself since I'm the only adult in my household...
The next day, I'm told again, it was required for my daughter! So I uploaded a written statement regarding her age and asking if there was ANYTHING I else I could provide to get to the next step.
On 2/7 I got a message telling me to call if I had further questions.
2/10 status is pending approval
2/24 back to under review
2/25 I called and they said that the paperwork looked good to just be patient
with all that said, my next door neighbor applied the same day I did. Our first contact from Ramp was on the same day. They were approved on 2/7, Pending Payment on 2/9 and Processed on 2/11....
our landlord received their deposit on 2/14
This whole process has no rhyme or reason. The communication between RAMP and Landlord/tenant is beyond frustrating and discouraging. In most cases a short phone call, message or email would likely solve any hold ups! Sitting here watching your device waiting for ANY response or update is the most stressful thing I have ever been through.
this roller coaster of relief then worry to realizing that there's a big chance you'll get evicted before you get a response? It's beginning to just be to much. Being a single parent these last 2 years has left many feeling helpless. Trying to protect or kids from Covid while trying to hold to our jobs, getting help during the lock down, holding our breath when school started back then back to the beginning during every qurentine due to exposure of some sort.
there are so many that never received a dime for the child tax credit advances, (me being one them) now I get a letter telling me that I DID recieve the 6 payments and to contact the IRS if that was incorrect before I file my return. We all know how that's going to go. I'll be lucky to talk to someone before the filing deadline this year. They have cut the SNAP benefits back down. And summer is right around the corner.
RAMP received millions. They have been processing applications for almost a year now. Why is the communication gap so bad still? I just want to know if I am days away from having my things thrown on the street or can I let my kids start making plans with their friends for spring break.
i know this is a long winded post and I apologize. I'm so discouraged with the whole thing. I guess I'm posting hoping someone reading this has or had a similar issue and renew my hope just a little.

I applied for recertification in October and nothing has changed on my account page. I now have 7 days and I’ll be evicted!!! I’ve called everyday for about a month and they still say the same thing….”It just takes a while.” Well I’m out of time!! What am I supposed to do?!?!

I have applied since the beginning of this month and am still on applications under review what’s wrong ?

Someone I know was denied after constantly contacted them and it said something bout couldn’t verify the landlord or something… I think it’s just pure bs and I think they just not doing their job correctly because her landlord have more then one house and every other tenant got approved except 1

My landlord emailed the processor who looked at my application and he emailed his boss said that it’s still under review and that other people have to review his work.! Tell me something I don’t know smh.

I been doing the same I been calling for I know a month str8 for my recertification left messages in all no reply or no answer I wonder do they have someone else we could call in also I have emailed the Mississippi corporation place also still no reply been doing that for 2 months I don’t know what’s going on

They told me because my payment is over 10,000 that it has to go through a different department and it will take longer

I called today to see what’s the hold up on my application been under review for 2 months now or so the lady put me on hold for about 5 mins or so to review what was going on and came back on the phone and said looks that they was waiting on the response from my landlord she opted out but it’s still in review so she said she’s gonna put in a urgency note and get my account updated.! Let’s see how this goes

Mines was like this I just got word Friday that they sent the check but the post office sent it back I have no idea why but the resent it out

I got my approval letter this morning it said my expected payment date is 3/8/2022 it’s the 10th and still nothing

I want to really understand why it takes this long and it’s so many people in need ! I’ve did my recertification and haven’t heard anything. This is so exhausting!
