Has anyone applied for funds through the Rental Assistance Program in Mississippi? Do you know if any of the funds have been disbursed at this point, or what the time line might be.
I applied 6 weeks ago and haven’t received any funds. The online portal is suppose to help you track the status of your application, but mines still say application submitted after 6 weeks. I tried calling the toll free number and speaking to someone directly. They’re not disclosing any information. Just telling you to use the portal to monitor your application.
I applied for a tenant my app is now saying application pending approval is that a good sign
Yes! By tomorrow the application should say “Application in QC review”. My QC review took two days before the status was changed to “Application Approved”.
I want to really understand why it takes this long and it’s so many people in need ! I’ve did my recertification and haven’t heard anything. This is so exhausting!
I did my recertification on 12/3. I have called everyone that I can. Considering that the information is already on file, you would think this process would not take as long. I have a friend who did hers a week before mine and she was approved almost a month ago. I am still waiting. There is no rhyme or reason to the way they work these cases and I feel it should be looked into. It took a month to be approved the first time, but over 3 months for recert?

It left and went to under review and been there from January til now and when you call asking them for updates they tell u the same thing: “everything is good, your processor just turned it over to a QC and they is just looking over everything “. Damm… after 3/4 months, they should have seen this 500 times… Come on now!!! This **** is really frustrating
❄❤It's alright, I will just wait! I can be patient! I already emailed them, It's going on 2 months, so hopefully it changes soon! This Ramp has truly been a blessing & I'm grateful! I just noticed how everybody's saying their recertification came through❤❄

I honestly feel either they are out of money or stalling until it gets canceled to no longer help us
I heard the program will end in April. I am trying to get clarification on if they will fulfill all applications that have been sent in. I've been waiting since December 3rd and this is on my recertification.

I am in the same boat. I have called and emailed about my recertification and haven’t gotten anywhere. I hope they get to everyone in a timely manner
FYI- Ramp is going back to last year recertifications and processing those first. If you did a recert last year they are working on yours. Anyone that’s has done a recert this year this far is on the back burner.

@Betty James mine was done on 12/3. A good friend of mine did hers on 11/27. Hers has been approved and paid. Is there a rhyme or reason to how they are processing these recertifications?
Honestly, it’s all screwed up. I think it just depends on who you talk to. Just stay on it and watch your portal. Update your paperwork.
Honestly, it is screwed up. I update everything.I watch the portal. I call. I think it's ridiculous that I should have to be at the point of eviction or getting my utilities cut off for them to do something. It's a recertification. They already have all of my info. At this point, they are having to pay more money out the longer they wait to process things.
Well I ended up getting evicted waiting on these crazy folks!!! Thanks Mississippi!!!!
I'm deeply sorry, and it seems as if that's what they want (people to get evicted). I don't care if the program just got implemented or if it's ancient. It makes 0 sense that it takes months to be approved and receive funds. This is beyond ridiculous
