Neighbor's house is in Default. Can I rent house from bank?
I'm extremely stressed out because my neighbor's house is in default & instead of waiting for it to foreclose, she is up & leaving to another state. The neighborhood we live in has gone downhill quickly & I am worried about having a vacant house next to me. The house is in great shape, but it will probably take years for it to foreclose, so it will sit there & rot away, while vandals destroy it. Is there a way I could find someone to rent the house from the bank, rather than let it sit vacant & draw more crime to my home? I have to walk almost 100 feet from my driveway to my door at night and I am frightened to live next to an empty house.
