Why does it feel like people who are facing foreclosure always feel like trailer trash and have ghetto personalities?

have there been any university studies on Psychology of occupants facing foreclosure ?

When mama bird pushes its young out of the nest, they either fly or die. Some people just can't fly. I wish we all could. I knew a guy that was able to buy a house with a small inheritance. His mortgage was $175 a month! He still couldn't cut it. Went through foreclosure 5 times, I had him re-instated each time. It got old.  Very smart, kind, but just couldn't make it in this kind of world. Could have been a curator, or archivist, or writer, but just didn't have the get up and go. Probably on the spectrum, and there's a place for people as such, they just need a little understanding or maybe help. Or they get run over.

Well at least this post doesn't sound elitist at all... 馃檮

Obviously people who are being foreclosed on tend to be poorer. Not the poorest as they bought a house, but on the poorer side of things which correlates with traits like bad judgement and the like. (Albeit there are plenty of exceptions, especially back in 2008 when just about everyone was getting foreclosed on.)

That being said, I think people getting foreclosed on tend to go through the same five stages psychologically as those who are dying: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and then acceptance. Depending on which stage you catch them in, it could be bewildering (denial) or feel "ghetto" (anger).
