Hi all,
Are there any local meetups in the Pearland, TX area? I will be attending other ones around town, i.e. H.I.T., to network with larger groups of people; but for those that prefer to start small and have a place close to home to comfortably meet on a weekly basis or so, this would be ideal.
We can meet at Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, Pearland Town Center...wherever is most comfortable for everyone.
I would be interested in a small, local meetup here in Pearland. Evenings or weekends would be my preference. Please let me know if you get something organized.
I have my monthly meeting coming up today in Missouri City at 6:45 pm. You all are welcome to attend it. Ping me if you need more info since I cannot post any here.
Vijaianand Thirunageswaram Hey, VJ I’ve done some searching on BP, but I don’t see the next meetup. Pearland or Missouri City. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
@Joseph Ali BP has event section only visible to PRO members that's why you don't see them. They also don't allow us to post any meet up info in regular post.
Hey there, I’m in. Tuesday nights are unavailable, but any other night might work. I generally work late but can rearrange to meet up.
Let me know and let’s set it up!
Hey there , I live in Friendswood,TX and would like to meet up with you guys in Pearland ? Are you still meeting up ? When and where is the next meeting ?
Do you all still have any investment like minded group meetups?? I am new to the Pearland area looking to invest/syndicate/property manage. I currently have my own two single family home rentals in the San Antonio area, but looking to branch into duplex/4-plex buy & rent strategy in the South Greater Houston area.
They almost always fizzle out- Unless someone is profiting from it then nobody wants to do it. Why? Because a small group of people who don't know what they are doing is kind of a waste of time for the most part. People who know what they are doing don't want to invest time in people who will never do what needs to be done...unless they are getting paid. Problem there is- Anyone who knows what they are doing can make more from real estate than teaching it.
I hate to admit it but Jeph is spot on. I think there should be different stages to the meetups - newbie investors (0-5 deals done), intermediate (6-20 deals), then advanced (20+ deals)...or something like this. It's a bit frustrating trying to get someone motivated and comfortable to pull the trigger on the first deal. And then again, it's probably frustrating to people like Robert Kiyosaki to get people like me to pull the trigger on a $10M deal. I'd go if I knew that I can meet and partner with someone serious to do a deal...otherwise it's a waste of time.
I agree with all the statements above. I would fall into the 2 deals done category, but am actually branching out of my comfort zone by getting a BRRRR deal within the next few weeks and would love to discuss others journeys across REI and where they are at now.... Because my eventual goal would be do get into that 1MM$ plus deal for multifamily. I am a construction manager by background (Currently still am) but am absolutely passionate about this industry and the wealth generation it creates. I am also recently applied for my RE agent licence to essentially practice buy/sell/rental for not only myself, but other investors with the same passion.
Thanks and if anyone ever starts another meetup in the P-land/Friendswood area, I would go. I live off Hwy 35 near Broadway. Thanks!
