I've been starting to wonder where the path of progress is going to be considering:
New Apple Campus: North West Austin
Soccer Stadium: North Central Austin
Boring Company: Pflugerville (East of Austin)
Tesla Gigafactory: Southeast Austin
Oraclce: Not sure where in Austin
But Austin is already full of properties, new houses have to be further out. So will that be Pflugerville? Round Rock? Cedar Park? Leander? How much space is there for new houses in each of those towns?
@Andrew Bissada there is no "path of progress" here, more like a mushroom cloud of progress. The question is where is it not progressing? In my head that's the west side of town because of Lake Travis. East of 130 has a tremendous amount of space left for growth too.
And I think your second point about the west being a bit more landlocked with the lake is spot on to answer @Andrew Bissada. North and East side have room to grow and existing highway infrastructure to facilitate commutes into the city. I would encourage researching potential areas on existing deterrents to potential growth (Austin's landfill sites on the East and South East side to name a few).
@Andrew Bissada there are 2 big ones. The first goes by several names. Originally called 4700 East Riverside is now called River Park and referred frequently as the "Domain on Riverside"
@Bryan Noth@Jordan Moorhead ---- rest assured, that the communities around Lake Travis (Bee Cave and Lakeway) and unincorporated areas to the west, down Hamilton Pool Road into Hays County (Dripping Springs) are seeing incredible growth too.
The Lake Travis area and areas to the west have two discint advantages: it's all Hill Country so it is pretty, and schools are excellent -- and yes, it is getting expensive fast. But plenty of housing coming online soon too.
