South king county/Seattle meet up

Hey everyone, I’m in the Seattle area and it seems like most of the meet ups are north of Seattle. Is there anyone out there that is currently hosting one on the south end around king county or would like to start a new one?

Hey All - the space the JH1 team has available in the Old Ranier Brewery is in Sodo, right off the highway. Its office/event space, so we have a rooftop patio, 11th floor common area, our office, and a meeting room to chose from. This would be great for groups from 6-20, but the space wouldn't be able to accommodate more than that (especially with Covid spacing folks out). We've got coffee on-site and folks could bring drinks if this ends up being a happy hour event. Unfortunately the "Old Ranier Brewery" is old for a reason - Rainier is no longer brewed here in Seattle, its actually brewed in Milwaukee, so there's no brewery on site for us to enjoy.

Finding a space that works for everyone is always a struggle, but I'd say that if its between Seattle and Tacoma and within a few minutes of an i-5 exit most folks should be able to make the trip if they're committed to it.

    I live in Bellevue and I'm not an investor yet but I'd like to be invited to a meetup so I can get in tune with the market! I plan to invest in the next few years!

    I’m down in Columbia City and would love to meet up. The Patio outdoor space there would do well and be safe, or should we do even further south?

    If no exsisting one then we set up one. I do most of my brokerage business in King but all my own rental are currently all in Pierce.

    Glad to hear there are others interested! Definitely would be up for any ideas, currently I have someone that offered a space for free at the Rainer brewery, not sure on the details but could be promising. It would ideally be the best to try and make something around Renton so it is kind of in the middle for people from Seattle and Tacoma to attend if they chose. 
    Nic, I must say I have lived here all my life and somehow missed that are was called Colombia city haha. It’s a decent location as far as far enough south and if there is a great spot I’d love to check it out. 

    Ryan we can definitely connect and brainstorm if your interested? Let’s see if we can make this happen! Been waiting a long time for a south end meet up.

    @Jacob Whitbeck that is a proclamation I hear from many natives! Choose a place and I'm there. Sounds like from the Replies that we're all fine with a location. If we do something quick like next week we may be able to catch the weather. Spot-wise for Columbia City,  "The Patio" is an outdoor space where Columbia City closed off part of the street. You can bring your own food and drink and sit spaced apart.

    That might not be South enough and I'm indifferent so whomever is feeling the laziest from your hood, propose a joint near you! :D

    Glad I’m not the only one! 
    sounds good though,I am getting on it. I still would really like to check out this space that’s available at the rainier brewery and also a few other places but I will definitely let you know when we get something figured out and will post an event.

    If any of the group is interested in Maple Valley, I'm the previous owner of Imbibe Bottle House & Taproom and once all of this covid crap lightens up, I can have them hold space for a regular meetup.  Better when the weather is nice to utilize the deck but depending on the group size, I'm sure Imbibe could work.

    Thankyou Brandon, I am definitely working on setting this up and that could be a great spot! The only concern would be if it’s too far out of the way for those who are coming from burien, Renton, etc. 

    What are tour thoughts on location?

    I used to host lunch & networking meetups (i.e. no speaker presentations or sales pitches) twice a month in the Burien, SoDo, and Renton areas, although our biggest ones were in Bellevue and Redmond (~50-75 RE investors).  Up until COVID that is.  Since then Leka & I have converted to webinars and virtual networking.

    I do miss the actual in-person ones though.  If you guys happen to do one in the Tukwila / Southcenter area, I may swing by and join you.

    @Michael Haas Is your office at Urban Worklofts now?  Or did you join Jared's team?  My office used to be there until earlier this year when I moved to Southcenter.  Is the 5th floor patio done yet?

    Hi all!  I'd love a South Seattle meetup.  Rainier Brewery sounds like a perfect place.  Also love that it's a fun part of Seattle's history.  Thanks for starting the conversation.

    @Nghi Le yes, we're in the Urban Worklofts, and yes, I teamed up with Jared Holland in March of this year! Jared is an absolute machine of a real estate investor and a wonderful human, I thoroughly enjoy working with him.

    I didn't know you were at the Worklofts previously! Its a cool space, and since we live and invest in North Beacon Hill its very convenient for us. Not sure about the status of the 5th floor patio, I'll check on that.

    I live in south Tacoma closer to Parkland I’m however willing to drive an hour up north King county area for a meetup so let’s keep updating this forum with time and location.

    So excited on the amount of people that are down for this south end meetup! There are more off of bigger pockets too.
    Sorry I didn’t reply I’m in the middle of a rehab on my rental. 
    As you saw in the thread micheal with JH1 has lead for a spot at the rainier brewery which would be awesome if the property management will allow us to meet there. 

    In the mean time a backup plan would be awesome, there is a place called the spot in Renton that may be a good option but does any one out there have any ideas where we could all meet at?? I can set it all up for “COVID friendly”

    This sounds awesome! I'm living in South Seattle, but I'm from Federal Way and would like to buy in Pierce County.

    Are there any hard plans? The Rainier ideas sound great.
