I talked to Brian Gibbons today for around 30 minutes. He gave me a short description of some of the ways to invest in Real Estate and then talked to me about what I want to do with real estate. Of course he was trying to promote his mentoring program, but he was not super pushy about it or anything. He touched on a few ideas that I had not thought about, so I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to talk with him.

Truthfully I don't think most people who are paying someone like Brian or any other coach $7,000 is going to get their "monies worth." Not necessarily because the coaches are saying bad things or misrepresenting what they are selling. Rather, it is the simple fact that there are not many hidden secrets in real estate that are not already out there. Brian or any other coach does not have any secret formula that you could not figure out if you worked hard enough.
I also believe that the majority of people who are not willing to work hard enough to find this information on their own has what it takes to be really successful in the industry.
Honestly the industry is pretty darn simple. If you have money you need to buy things lower than you can sell them for. Or you need to leverage financing and have tenants create long term wealth for you.
If you do not have money you need to create value by working a real estate job such as a Realtor. The name of the game is marketing, marketing, marketing, selling, selling, selling when you are trying to create value. All this other creative hoopla that involves people without any money making money in the industry is IMO bogus. The amount of people making money doing stuff like that is small and those that do were sales and marketing experts who likely etched out their own path. If you become a Realtor you have a lot more options to make money transacting real estate. That job you get mentored but don't typically need to pay for that mentoring.
Lastly
All of my above opinions aside let's go ahead and just assume Brian is the greatest real estate coach in the entire world. How on earth is he supposed to successfully coach Glenn to success with Glenn just chopping him off at the knees like this? Glenn, you voiced your opinion but you need to take a step back and take some responsibility here. You have some accountability in the creation of this toxic relationship as well. If Brian's coaching really does bring others success I feel like you have made that all but impossible with you making this relationship so adversarial.
Sometimes there comes a point in a business relationship where the parties need to end the relationship and go their separate ways. If this is not that point for the two of you, I do not know what is.
