I've seen this member, Dwan Twayford, who is, according to her website, theieu.com, a coach and investor with over 1800 transactions under her belt. On her site she sells her own course material, and I've heard her name mentioned as yet another guru.
I guess I was wondering if anyone knew what the real story was? When you read her posts on the forums, they aren't very good at all and don't convey to me that she is an expert.
Just spent some time on google searching her name and reading... first thing that came up was scams.com and then it got worse. Doesn't seem like ANYONE had a single good thing to say about her or the course. But I'm sure someone will come onboard this thread with 1 post and try to tell everyone how great it is and how rich they now are all thanks to her LOL. I can't stand dishonest people :(
Are you sure that is the same Dwan Twayford that is the guru? Or did someone just take that screen name? I have heard the real one speak and she certainly spoke much better than the one on BP writes (my apologies to the one on BP). That avatar doesn't look like the one that I've heard speak either, although it's hard to tell with such a close-up.
Except the member's signature does lead to Dwan's site. I'm with Mike, though. I've heard her speak, and the posts just don't match up with her speaking. The picture doesn't look like any other picture I've seen of her. I've never seen her in person, though, and pictures don't always look the same.
The person posting with the name is linking to the "real" person's website and looks to be promoting it. Perhaps they hired someone to do their work for them? If so, perhaps they went with the lowest bidder?
Your personal reputation is just too important to outsource, if that is what happened here.
I can't believe Bill and Dawn Twyford (Investor's Edge University) haven't been arrested yet. These guys completely scammed me and many others. A simple google search will pull up numerous reports on ripoffreport.com , scam.com, and flippingfrenzy.com and more. They ripped me off of $10,000. They sold me advice (cds, "books", forms) that were out-of-date, laced with illegal techniques, and methods that just didn't work. They never followed up with their weekend coaching and refused to refund my money. You can see that they had a lawsuit against them in Florida for similar conduct but refused to pay. BECAREFUL of these scammers, it is your hard earned money and if you follow their advice it could land you in jail.
Unfortunately, being scammed by these "Experts" that tour local real estate clubs is not that uncommon, Bill and Dawn Twyford just take it to a whole new level! Remember, many of the local real estate clubs are making big money from the up-sell of these programs (they take a percentage of everything sold). Most out-of-town speakers I have found will not follow up with any mentorship. The minute they take your money they "disappear" and become almost impossible to reach.
