I attended the 3day FB seminar in Houston. I thought it was really good! I am considering doing the mastery program. Has anyone been through the program? If so, is it worth the 25k?
- Join your local REIA, attend regularly and talk to the people there (~$150 - $200/year)
- Take some friendly local investors out to lunch/dinner/drinks ($50 per "date")
- Buy some good RE investing books ($5 - $20 each, used or new)
- Pick up a few well-regarded guru courses used on Ebay ($100 - $200 each)
That will give you big head start without having to throw $25K at something that may or may not be what you're looking for.
I'm a student a fb member (8months), I think it's dope..
1. In depth online courses that I actually learned from
2. Great mentors that actually taught me
3. Tons of free seminars and specialized "bootcamps" that I learn from
4. Tons of documents and TEMPLATES of different things (members know what I mean, turn up)
5. A huge and active secret fortune builders mastery group on facebook. In the group, everybody helps everybody. Some people you meet. Others you feel like you you've met because of the bond you've built over fb. It's a straight fam.
There's a lot more too but I'm just going to say personally I think it's worth the investment if you have it. (It's literally an investment in yourself)
I just read over your guys comments.. Some of you people are lost lmfao. You guys need to open up your mind. Fb isn't a scam. This is coming from a member of 8 months.. but anyway.. I'm out
I posted on here in January 2016 after attending a FB 3-day session. I was almost convinced to join but decided otherwise.
So after a year, my partner and I purchased 3 investment properties (two buy-and hold duplexes and one single family that is currently being renovated). We've built relationships with local realtors who know the neighborhood, attended countless community commission meetings on property development, and have two investors that have partnered with us.
We've been able to do this without fortune builders, but have also utilized resources on BP and within our community.
I attended the same FB 3 day event in Dallas in Feb and was very impressed with their systems. The one thing they have going for you is that if you sign up they give you a website and you pick the template according to your niche and it's up in 5 minutes (keyword optimized), they are giving you a the template system for their bulk mailers that have had proven success (you just pick from a list of who you want to mail to in your area) a few clicks and it's done. It goes to local mailer's of your choice- takes 5 minutes. They also have an app when you are doing your walk- throughs that gives you an estimate of repairs in about 5 minutes with choices of toilets, etc from home depot, lowes with sku numbers etc. This is helpful because you can do a print out and send to your lender before the competition leaves the premises.
So, I think their systems are very streamline and impressive and could really help beginners from making mistakes. Is it worth 25K? Well, I have 2 friends from my home town of San Diego who knew nothing about real estate and they were up and running in a month with FB. It's been a year and they've done some really successful flips. This is why I even went to the seminar in the first place. Myself I have not spent the 25K because I couldn't devote the time that they wanted to join, I joined bigger pockets instead and can learn at my leasure. Just my opinion.
Thanks for sharing, I'm interested in knowing about this program like Keri.
is there anyone who actually did the two-year program and can tell us about his or her feedback, please.
I did the three days seminar in Oakland CA and I really loved it. I am now in the research phase and willing to spend $50,000 for the two-year program and mentoring.
They say they offer assistance, knowledge, listings, one on one phone calls anytime it is needed, case studies, database, advertising systems, action plan video and implementation checklist...etc. If it's the case than it's really awesome and think I can get my money back very quick.
I just would like to hear from someone who had actually gone through the program and made money.
Hi, I saw your post and I have gotten the FB package.
I did not pay the full amount. ( I just didn't have it ). I just wanted the wholesaling part, so they sold it to me for a reduced rate. It is a very thorough offering. They also do some things other Gurus do not. Is it worth 25K? I would say maybe. I am in a RE Investors group and some of the people there are very happy with FB.
I would wait. Because Real Estate is changing VERY rapidly and New players are using New Technology to make the process alot easier, quicker and smarter.
Here is what I would do. 1. Join Meet up groups in your area 2 or 3. Just type in Real Estate Investing 2. Get on facebook and get the Feed from these Gurus- Zack Childress, Phil Puslejovsky, Jerry Norton, Partick Riddle, and Preston Ely, Then check out these Sites Rehab Valuator. All of these will give you a wealth of info. for FREE and will cover 90% of what FB gives. But I believe the Future belongs to Connected Investors. They are to Real Estate what Apple was to phones.
Wow!!! I'm impressed with this post. I'm actually inthe 2ndday as I type away this reply. We are at how do I come up with ARV... I'm the only one who has not been interviewed. But now I am convinced I'm not going to be. Taking all the pros advice on here and experienced included and fine my niche.

Thank you so much, everyone.
Have a great week.

I was just curious if you bought the package, and how it is going for you.
I don't know about that particular program but I did attend another one that sounds similar to this...usually that 25k covers someone coming out and working a deal with you in some way they guarantee you a deal...but this depends on how bad you want in...you spend 25k and your deal nets you 10k you are still out of 15k...there are tons of info out here for free but having to group it altogether can be frustrating...We didn't pay 25k but some people did am not sure of their outcome...Iam sure you could find someone that can walk you through your first deal a lot cheaper...
We did the Fortune Builders Mastery program to advance our RE education and network with other members.
With any educational material, you get out what you put in.
The free boot camps you get as part of the Mastery program are IMO where most of the value lies. The live education boosted our property management business in Bridgeport CT. The training and being able to contact the coaches and other real estate professionals anytime with questions is useful.
We got to bring in up to 6 members so that cuts down the investment from each member.
The systems, scripts and checklists they provide are very helpful in shortcuting the learning process.
My answer is NOPE. But that is totally an opinion. I believe with the info available and a TON of effort you can learn everything you need to know. The idea of paying $$$ to get a quicker, packaged, education sounds easy but it was never my path. But, to each their own. If it is worth it to you and will get you started go for it.
I just started under the program and it’s totally legit. A few of my clients are under the Fortune Builders programs and it’s amazing because all it offers for an investor who is just getting started. It’s definitely a “fast track” program. You can recoup the costs by doing more deals.
I don't know about the program but they are legit rehabbers. CT Homes (As seen on TV) are one of the biggest cash buyers in San Diego, CA. They are flipping anywhere from 10-30 homes a month. I wholesaled a deal to them a couple of years ago. They helped me through the process and I made $10K. Maybe I should have bought their program then but I was going to school and working full time as an apprentice electrician at the time the money was much needed. Now I'm back trying to find deals and the market is really tough here. I wish I knew then what I know now after 3 years of research on Bigger Pockets. I think there is enough knowledge in these forums to get what they are teaching for free. The mentor-ship might be worth it though I can't say.
Keri A. If you think it’s worth it. Due your homework before you do. I know someone who spent 50k with them and didn’t get anything from it. I personally would not pay 25k - 50k for whatever they teach you. I wish you the best
God Bless!
With 25K you can get a loan on a $100000 4-unit here in Ohio. I have a 4-unit that cost $67,000 that cash flows $800/month. I think you should take that 25k and buy a couple of books, listen to the relevant pod casts on bigger pockets, join REIA, get some property management software (we like buildium) and then buy a property that cash flows. You'll get up to speed really quickly once you get a property.
I just finished the three day seminar with my wife yesterday and we were interviewed for the mastery program. Strangely enough the guy asked us to call our credit card companies to increase our credit limits so we can afford the program. We were on the fence but quickly googled and came to this site in between our interview. After reading several reviews we have decided to use the resources on here and hopefully use the $35K as a down payment for our first deal. We are new to this so I will checking back to report on progress!!
All programs in my opinion one should look at the roi. If companies are charging 25 to 50k. majority say that is alot, if you think they can help you do enough deals to make that back. They allow you to have several people part of the program that way you don't have to pay it all alone. Besides it is a tax write off. Many spend more than that on college just to take mainly a lifetime to pay it back, horrible roi. People always say books, cheaper ways but those people have done 0 to few deals lol. Fortune builder's great, I know of a competitor close to same price but they give you a coupon book to use that would save thousands on deals etc and unlimited boots on the ground unlike fortune builder's. They have events where they bring you deals and find it, half for rental deals with tenant etc. Didn't have money when they came before, if they come back I will join if not will join fortune builder's when they return with some people. To save more.
