go to e bay and buy the Jack Bosch course for 50 bucks or so..  pretty basic stuff on how to flip high desert dirt.

    I don’t know of any books, but @Seth Williams has a lot of really good (free) info on his blog (retipster.com). If you were to put all the blog posts together, you’d basically have a book. I think it’s a great place to start to see if it’s something you really want to pursue or not. If so, there are several courses out there.

    I would agree with Linda that Seth Williams' RE Tipster website has an immense amount of very valuable, FREE information. Also, EB Farmer has a book called The Land Flipper: Turning Dirt into Dollars. Seth's website advocates buying land using delinquent tax records to find bargains. This can lead to buying land all over the country with exclusively online research. EB Farmer teaches buying at a higher dollar transaction level in local markets in which the investor concentrates. His method derives profit from the subdivision of land into smaller tracts which command a higher price per acre. Both are compelling models, but given your capital, I think you would find retipster.com the most helpful for getting started.
